Bacterial endotoxins are lipopolysaccharide components from Gram-negative cell walls that can confound cell-based and in vivo assays. LAL (Limulus amebocyte lysate) and related Bacterial Endotoxin Test (BET) methods quantify endotoxin, often in EU/mg. COAs may list endotoxin for batches where testing was run per specification; absence of a value means the test was not necessarily performed or reported on that report.
